They, along with two other co-workers from the Office of Student Services, Division of Kinesiology, were honored during as 2007 Workplace Award winners at a June 7 luncheon at the Michigan Union, hosted by Laurita Thomas, associate vice president of Human Resources. Team members not pictured are Jennifer Knapp and Angie Sullivan. Students and their parents appreciate the accessibility, sensitivity and professionalism of this staff, as they embrace the meaning of teamwork, the award states.
At middle left, the Outstanding Leadership Award winner Shannon Zachary, preservation and conservation, University libraries, speaks after accepting her award from Thomas. According to her citation, Zachary has guided the department through times of continual change by being able to take ideas, visualize the reality and bring those ideas to life.
At lower left is Distinguished Service Award winner Rosemary Laczko, School of Pharmacy. Nominations for Laczko describe her selfless devotion to students, her willingness to accept challenges and be a team player, her service as a role model to her staff, her attentiveness to the multicultural perspective of the University, her high standards of excellent customer service, and her value to the College of Pharmacy.
