W4 Country (102.9 FM) morning host Heather McGregor chats in the studio with U-M outside linebacker David Moosman from Libertyville, Ill. during the 12-hour radio-a-thon to benefit C.S. Mott Children's Hospital and Women's Hospital. Head Football Coach Lloyd Carr and other Michigan coaches, players and former players took to the airwaves June 7, visiting four Ann Arbor radio stations to talk about Michigan football, answer phones to take pledges and generally build momentum for the annual Carr's Wash for Kids community event June 9. The radio-a-thon and car wash raised nearly $300,000. Other participating radio stations were WQKL 107one (107.1 FM), WLBY Progressive Talk Radio (1290 AM) and Sports Talk 1050 KTWA AM. The proceeds from the team's two community events go toward the bone marrow center of the new children's hospital. (Photo by Scott Galvin, U-M Photo Services)
