Workers from Corrigan Moving Systems unload boxes of equipment for the newly-renovated facilities for the Michigan Daily, the Michigansian yearbook and Gargoyle magazine. Thanks largely to a generous endowment from alumnus and former Daily photojournalist Stanford Lipsey ('48), as well as contributions from other individuals, the University, and the Student Publications Endowment, the historical façade of 420 Maynard Street will be preserved, while the building itself will house new computers and high-speed Internet, among other upgrades. Below, John Brown, an Information Technology Central Services employee, installs the data network. The building will be dedicated on Oct. 26. (Photos by Todd McKinney) |
