Dinosaurs gone but not forgotten at Dinosaur Discovery Day

Visit theme-based table stations to learn about fossil types, dinosaurs and birds, dinosaur defenses, plant-eaters, take part in a fossil dig, perform a puppet show, watch dinosaur flicks and make and take home a craft at Dinosaur Discovery Day, from 9 a.m.-5 p.m. Dec. 2 at the Exhibit Museum of Natural History.

Activities for the whole family also include a drawing for a dinosaur prize and refreshments.

The event is sponsored by the State Street Area Association, 764-0478.

Handel's Messiah returns Dec. 2-3 to Hill Auditorium

The Grammy Award-winning University Musical Society (UMS) Choral Union (2006 Best Choral Performance for William Bolcom's "Songs of Innocence and of Experience") launches the holiday season with its signature work, Handel's oratorio, "Messiah," at 8 p.m. Dec. 2 at Hill Auditorium.

An Ann Arbor tradition, these performances are the heart of the UMS, as they connect audiences with the performers and with the friends and family they attend with each year. The concerts are sponsored by the UMS and the Carl and Isabelle Brauer Fund.

For more information call 764-2538, or go to www.ums.org.
