The University Musical Society (UMS) debut of the Florestan Trio was one of the most memorable concerts of the 2004-05 season for those in attendance and an immediate return was booked. Perhaps no one has said it better than the music critic for The Scotsman, of their Edinburgh International Festival performance: "Just when I was beginning to feel culturally immune, along came the Florestan Trio with a performance that completely blew me away.
