Knute Nadelhoffer, director of the U-M Biological Station in Pellston, talks with federal relations officers from universities across the nation during a conference in Traverse City. The higher education lobbyists work for members of the National Association of State Universities and Land-Grant Colleges. Nadelhoffer spoke about the Great Lakes and changes in Michigan's climate during a two-hour ride aboard a tall ship in Grand Traverse Bay.
