NIH awards U-M $55 million grant
The National Institutes of Health has named the University to receive a $55 million Clinical and Translational Science Award, says Dr. Elias A. Zerhouni, NIH director. The CTSAs are part of a national initiative to encourage and speed collaboration and interdisciplinary research for therapies that improve human health. More>

Lecturers' Employee Organization ratifies new three-year contract
Members of the Lecturers' Employee Organization (LEO) have overwhelmingly ratified the bargaining unit's second contract with the University. The three-year agreement, tentatively agreed to in June, will expire May 15, 2010.LEO represents about 1,300 lecturers and other non-tenure faculty who work full- and part-time on the Ann Arbor, Dearborn and Flint campuses.
