Registration open for WCTF career conference

With the theme Enhancing U: Education, Empowerment and Equity, the Women of Color Task Force (WCTF) will host its 27th annual career conference 8 a.m.-4 p.m. Feb. 27 at the Michigan League.

The conference workshops will feature sessions categorized under the following four topic headings: professional development, personal development, financial education, and health and wellness.

The keynote address will be delivered by Howard Adams, the founder and president of H.G. Adams and Associates Inc., a consulting and training company that specializes in assisting colleges and universities in developing the academic, personal, career and professional skills of their students and staff. Adams was the founding director of the GEM National Institute on Mentoring, and served as the executive director of the National Consortium for Graduate Degrees for Minorities in Engineering and Science Inc.

Registration for this event is open to all U-M personnel and to the general public. Early registration will close Feb. 19, however, onsite registration will be available at the Michigan League for an additional administrative charge of $15. The networking lunch will not be available for onsite registrants.
