In the exhibit Landscapes: Oils on Canvas and Linen by Cecily Donnelly, above, the artist seeks to distill the details of time, place, weather and light into simplified color compositions that retain a connection to the world of nature. Donnelly, a graduate of the School of Art & Design, works as a graphic artist. The exhibit is in the University Hospital main lobby, Floor 1. (Photo by Cecily Donnelly)
Duct Tape Paintings by Pete Warburton, below, at the University Hospital Taubman Center north lobby, Floor 1, features the work of a self-trained artist using 17 colors of duct tape. A few of his paintings currently are on display at the Vatican and in Nice, France. Both exhibits are presented through Aug. 17 by the U-M Health System Gifts of Art. (Photo by Pete Warburton) |
