Don't miss: Science Cafe examines energy prospects

The political, economic and technical prospects for both renewable and non-renewable energy resources will be the focus of the program Science Café: Balance of Power? Prospects for Renewable and Non-Renewable Energy.

The event, which is sponsored by the Energy Futures Theme Semester at LSA, will take place from 5:30-7:30 p.m. Nov. 5 at Conor O'Neill's Traditional Irish Pub, 318 S. Main.

The discussion will be headed by Steve Kesler, Department of Geological Sciences, and Greg Keoleian, co-director, Center for Sustainable Systems, School of Natural Resources and Environment.

Issues they will seek to explore include meeting tomorrow's needs for energy, where to invest, how energy-related policy decisions will play out in Michigan and the role consumers can play in achieving a sustainable energy future.
