Campus benefits information forum set for Dec. 1

An information forum on the University's benefits strategy will be held from 12:30-1:30 p.m. Dec.1 in the Great Lakes Room at Palmer Commons. The event also will be simulcast live on the Web.

Interested faculty and staff are invited to participate in person or on the Web.

Associate Vice President for Human Resources Laurita Thomas will discuss the current challenge of rising benefit costs, the University's strategy for maintaining market-competitive benefit programs and the planning for adjustments in health care cost sharing that will take effect starting in 2010. Thomas will outline the University's overall benefits goals and the charges to the Committee on Sustainable Health Benefits and the Committee to Study Retirement Savings Plan Vesting Options for future employees.
