Regents meeting Dec. 18The Board of Regents will have its monthly meeting at 3 p.m. Dec. 18 in the Regents Room of the Fleming Administration Building. Public comments on agenda items will be taken prior to their consideration. Comments on nonagenda items will follow the regular business agenda. People with disabilities who need assistance should contact the Office of the Vice President and Secretary of the University in advance at (734) 764-3883. Submit holiday closing hours to Record
The University Record will compile a list of holiday closing and reduced service reminders to print in the Dec. 15 issue. Units that wish to be included in the publication must submit information by 5 p.m. Dec. 2. The Record does not publish Dec. 1. Remaining editions of The University Record this year are Dec. 8 and 15.
Climate Savers grants available
Applications are being accepted for the new Climate Savers Computing Initiative Unit Funding Grant Program. University departments can apply to receive $500 to $5,000 to make green computing changes in their areas to conserve energy and natural resources through better use of information technology. Funding requests can be for supplies, hourly wages for student assistance, redesigning work processes and one-time equipment purchases. Those who apply by Dec. 12 are eligible to receive awards by Jan. 15. For more information or to apply go to www.climatesavers.umich.edu/.
