David Blaauw, professor of computer science and engineering, and Todd Austin, associate professor of electrical engineering and computer science, both from the College of Engineering, recently received the 2008 Richard Newton Gigascale Systems Research Center Industrial Impact Award for development of Razor technology. The annual award given by the MARCO/DARPA Gigascale Silicon Research Center recognizes research that is "at least five years old and has had significant industrial impact."
