News BriefsITCS introduces resource Web page
Information Technology Central Services (ITCS) has rolled out a new resource page, Information Technology Policies at the University of Michigan, at www.itcs.umich.edu/itpolicies/. The new page offers a user-friendly list of IT-related policies organized by major content areas that apply to the University community and guests. When users sign on to a University network or service, for example, at the U-M weblogin for Wolverine Access, a link to the page alerts them to the policies. The new page represents a collaborative effort of ITCS, Information Technology Security Services, Michigan Administrative Information Services, the Office of Student Conflict Resolution, Office of the General Counsel, Residential Computing, U-M Health System, and Public Affairs and Media Relations to revise the page Information Technology Policies and Guidelines at the University of Michigan, formerly found at www.umich.edu/~policies/. Although a redirect from that URL is in place, ITCS requests that units update their sites with the new name and link.
