President's video highlights new year

President Mary Sue Coleman is kicking off the new academic year with a welcome video message to the campus community. U-M welcomes 'exceptional'
Class of 2012

University leaders welcomed members of the Class of 2012 during New Student Convocation Aug. 28. The 6,000 entering students are “from one of the most well-qualified pool of applicants we have ever had,” Ted Spencer, associate vice provost and executive director of Undergraduate Admissions, told the Crisler Arena audience that included many of the new students and their families. Planet Blue to promote recycling, conservation

Planet Blue is a three-year, campuswide effort to cut utility costs and increase recycling in about 90 large buildings on the Ann Arbor campus. It's an education and outreach campaign designed to engage the students, faculty and staff in the program. More >
