Gibson presents Distinguished Professor Lecture
Rose Campbell Gibson, professor of social work, presented the 1996
Ida I. Beam Distinguished Visiting Professor University-Wide Lecture
at the University of Iowa. The award is given to "an outstanding
scholar and internationally and nationally recognized expert in
his/her area of research."
Fulbright Scholarship awarded to Cardullo
Robert J. Cardullo, associate professor of theatre and drama, has
been awarded a J. William Fulbright Scholarship to teach drama and
film courses in the American Studies Program at the University of
Jyväskylä in Finland during the 199697 academic year.
The purpose of the Fulbright Program "is to increase mutual
understanding between the people of the United States and the people
of other countries by means of educational and cultural exchanges."
Cardullo received the award for his "impressive academic
accomplishments."
McFee re-elected to AAA Michigan Board
Regent Shirley M. McFee was re-elected to a three-year term on the
board of the American Automobile Association (AAA) Michigan. McFee
has been a member of the Board of Regents since 1990.
