Regents congratulated on open search process
The Regents of the University of Michigan are to be congratulated for the open and all-encompassing search process they have established to select the next president of the University.

As a staff member, I am particularly gratified to finally see the formal recognition of University staff as major stakeholders, equal partners and full-fledged members of the University community whose participation should be solicited in the selection process for executive officers and in other matters affecting the life of the University and all its constituents. This is certainly what TQM is really all about.
