Duquette honored by National Association of Counsel for
Children
The National Association of Counsel for Children (NACC) has awarded
Donald N. Duquette, clinical professor of law and co-director of the
Law School's Child Advocacy Law Clinic, the Oustanding Legal Advocacy
Award for his work as an advocate for children. The award is given
annually to individuals who have exhibited excellence in the field of
children's law, advocacy and protection.
Gilgenbach elected Fellow of American Physical
Society
Ronald M. Gilgenbach, professor of nuclear engineering and of
radiological sciences, was elected Fellow of the American Physical
Society. Gilgenbach was cited for pioneering experimental research on
electron cyclotron resonance heating and diagnostics of laser
ablation plasmas.
Hurtado elected to board of AAHE
Sylvia Hurtado, assistant professor of education, has been elected to
serve on the board of directors of the American Association for
Higher Education. Her four-year-term began on July 1.
