Arnold elected to CAUSE post
Jill B. Arnold, Information Technology Division associate director, has been elected to a one-year term as secretary/treasurer of CAUSE, the association for managing and using information resources in higher education.

Arnold, who has been active in the Boulder, Colo., organization since the 1980s, has previously served as chair of the Nomination and Election Committee, presented conference papers and participated in CAUSE on-line discussion groups.

Reed receives SAE award
Matthew P. Reed, senior engineering research associate, UMTRI, is one of just three individuals to receive the Society of Automotive Engineers' annual Lloyd L. Withrow Distinguished Speaker Award. The award is conferred on speakers at SAE meetings who have received an Oral Presentation Award from the organization more than twice. Reed's recent selection to receive his third award for presentations at SAE meetings qualified him to receive the award.
