LS&A Dean Edie N. Goldenberg told those gathered at the dedication that Tisch Hall is 'the architectural finale' to the four-building complex envisioned by campus architects early in the century, occupying the last 'buildable' space on the Diag.
Ribbons and more ribbons were fluttering last week, first for the dedication of Tisch Hall (above), called the University's 'front door to the humanities,' and later that day for the Preston Robert Tisch Tennis Building, on South State Street.
One long and one short wall of the Indoor Track Building (above) carried the names of the more than 250,000 contributors to the Campaign. A fleet of more than 20 buses (right) took everyone from the Power Center to the luncheon, complete with the strains of the 'Victors' on their sound systems. Photos on this page by Bob Kalmbach
