Many University units have reported scheduled closings or reductions of services for the holiday period.
The Michigan League will close at 5 p.m. Dec. 23 and reopen at 7 a.m. Jan. 4.
The Michigan Union will be open 7 a.m.7 p.m. Dec. 24, 9 a.m.6 p.m. Dec. 2631, 7 a.m.midnight Jan. 2 and 9 a.m.midnight Jan. 3. It will be closed Dec. 25 and Jan. 1. Hours are subject to change.
Pierpont Commons will be open 8 a.m.5 p.m. Dec. 2123 and Dec. 2930, and 8 a.m.2 p.m. Dec. 2428. It will be closed Dec. 25, 31 and Jan. 12.
The Afroamerican Music Collection will be closed Dec. 18Jan. 5.
The Clements Library will be closed Dec. 24Jan. 3.
The Exhibit Museum will be closed Dec. 24Dec. 26, Dec. 31 and Jan. 1.
Redemption and Saints and Mystics at the Institute for the Humanities will be closed Dec. 24Jan.3.
The Kelsey Museum of Archaeology will be closed Dec. 24Jan. 3.
Matthaei Botanical Gardens will be closed Dec. 2425 and Jan. 1.
The Museum of Art will be closed Dec. 25 and Jan. 1.
The Special Collections Library will be open 105 p.m. Dec. 2223 and Jan. 45. It will be closed Dec. 24Jan. 3.
The Stearns Collection will be closed Dec. 24Jan. 5.
Information Technology Division offices and services will be closed Dec. 25Jan. 3, unless noted below. Many technical infrastructure services, however, will run continuously.
764HELP Computing Help Line will be open 15 p.m. Dec. 2830. It will close at noon Dec. 24 and will be closed Dec. 25 and Jan. 1.
Data Systems Center Operations (763-4000) will be open 8 a.m.4 p.m. Dec. 2631 and Jan. 23. It will be closed Dec. 25 and Jan. 1.
Instructional Technology Lab and Lindas Place will be open by card key access for registered users during the week of Dec. 21.
ITCom, U-M Switchboard (7641817 or 0 from oncampus phones), will be open 8 a.m.5 p.m. Dec. 2830. It will close at 3 p.m. Dec. 24 and be closed Dec. 2527, 31 and Jan. 12.
Residential Service Center will be closed at noon Dec. 24Jan. 3.
Accounts Office is closed Dec. 24Jan. 3.
Administrative Hotline (7630107) will close at noon Dec. 24 and remain closed through Jan. 3.
Campus Computing Sites will begin reduced hours on Dec. 18. Check the Web, www.umich.edu/~sites, for up-to-date information on site hours.
NonCredit Computing Workshops will not be held Dec. 18Jan. 4.
The Workshop Reservation Line will be closed 4 p.m. Dec. 22Jan. 3.
Computer Showcase will be closed Dec. 24Jan. 3.
UMTV, the campus cable television system, will continue as usual, but will not be cablecasting U-M programming over MediaOne.
Financial Operations, including Student Financial Operations, will close at 2 p.m. Dec. 24 and reopen at 8 a.m. Jan. 4
The Central and North Campus Cashiers Offices will close at 1 p.m. Dec. 24. The Central Office will reopen at 8 a.m. Jan. 4 and the North Campus Office will reopen at 9 a.m. Jan. 4.
The Department of Occupational Safety and Environmental Health (OSEH) will be closed Dec. 25Jan. 4. Minimal staff will be available for services on Dec. 24. Staff will respond to emergencies during the closure. Requests for emergency services should be directed to the Department of Public Safety (DPS), 7631131.
HazMat staff will not be conducting radioactive and chemical waste collections Dec. 25Jan. 4. Staff working with radioactive or chemical compounds during this period should obtain a supply of container/drums and other waste handling materials to accommodate the workload by calling OSEH prior to Dec. 22.
Approval for radioactive material orders must be obtained prior to Dec. 22. Radiation Safety staff will continue radioactive material package deliveries Dec. 2831.
The Parking Services office will be closed 11:30 a.m.2 p.m. Dec. 22 and Dec. 24Jan. 3.
Plant Building Services will be closed 8 p.m. Dec. 237:30 a.m. Jan. 4. Limited services will be provided Dec. 2831 for buildings remaining open for special functions. Emergency services will be available Dec. 23Jan. 4.
Limited services consist of restroom maintenance, corridor cleaning and trash removal from central locations. Utility trucks and/or trash barrels will be placed in open building corridors to accommodate those wishing to discard trash. An ample supply of trash bags will be at the bottom of trash receptacles. Emergency service requests should be made through the Department of Public Safety (DPS), 7631131.
Printing and Auxiliary Services
Copy Centers: LS&A will be closed Dec. 23Jan. 4. The School of Education will be closed Dec. 4Jan. 4. Legal Research, North Ingalls and Printing Services Copy Center will be closed Dec. 25Jan. 4.
The Managed Copier Program, University Attic and Printing Services will be closed Dec. 25Jan. 4. General Stores and Computer Stores will be closed 4 p.m. Dec. 247:30 a.m. Jan. 4. Food Stores will remain open.
Purchasing Services at Wolverine Tower will be open 8 a.m.3:30 p.m. Dec. 28Dec. 31. It will be closed Dec. 25 and Jan. 1. To have a vendor added to the database or speak with a buyer, contact Vendor Maintenance, 9368849. For emergency orders, contact the Help Desk, 9367000.
The Risk Management Department, including Employee Rehabilitation and WorkConnections/Workers Compensation, will be closed at 2 p.m. Dec. 248 a.m. Jan. 4. Claims may reported to the Risk Management message system, 7642200. In case of emergency, call DPS, 7631131.
The Center for Statistical Computation and Research will be closed 5 p.m. Dec. 219 a.m. Jan. 4.
The Treasurers Office will be open 9 a.m.2 p.m. Dec. 28Dec. 31. It will be closed noon2 p.m. Dec. 17 and will close at 2 p.m. Dec. 24. It will be closed Dec. 25 and Jan. 1.
