DRDA’s Proposal Writing Workshop Set for March 23

The Proposal Writing Workshop will be an intensive overview of the narrative portion of a proposal from the perspective of the reviewer. Areas covered will include: approaching a sponsor, components of a narrative (including budget), matching the narrative to the sponsor’s priorities and guidelines, writing style and common errors to avoid. Sample proposals will be reviewed, and a question and answer period will follow. The workshop will be presented by Chris Kahan Black 8:30 a.m.–noon, March 23 in Suite 18, Wolverine Tower. Workshops for Graduate Students

DRDA will collaborate with the Graduate School in two workshops designed primarily for graduate students:

  • Grant Proposal Writing featuring Chris Black, 4–6 p.m. Feb. 8 in the East Conference Room, fourth floor, Rackham Bldg. Light refreshments will be served.

  • Getting Web Savvy: Searching for Research and Fellowship Funds featuring Julie Feldkamp and Suzanne Tainter from DRDA and Roger Doster, Glenda Haskell and Ethel Thoms from the Graduate School, 3:30–5 p.m. March 7, Rackham Assembly Hall. Light refreshments will be served.
