The University Record, November 1, 1999

For the record . . .

The Oct. 25 article “U scientists to develop ‘smart bombs’ that seek out and destroy cancer cells” mistakenly cited Lajos Balogh’s title as research associate. Balogh is assistant research scientist at the Center for Biologic Nanotechnology.

The Oct. 25 article “Four faculty members elected to Institute of Medicine” should have noted that Michael Marletta is a specialist in nitric, not nitrous, oxide in the body.

In the Oct. 25 Calendar, Seamus Heaney’s lecture “Reflections on Art and Artists in Ireland” was incorrectly listed as occurring on Nov. 2. The lecture is at 5 p.m. Nov. 15 in Rackham Amphitheater.
