The Record accepts submissions for Calendar, Briefings, Studies Seek Subjects, Applause, Letters to the Editor and general interest articles.
Items for the Calendar, Briefings, Applause and Studies Seek Subjects sections must be received by 5 p.m. the Tuesday preceding publication. Items must have a direct U-M affiliation and be submitted in writing, by fax, 764-7084, or via e-mail to the Record office.

The University Record is published weekly SeptemberApril, bi-weekly MayJuly and once in August. Publication dates are subject to change.

Letters must be received by noon the Wednesday preceding publication. Letters must be no more than 500 words in length and must be signed. Authors must be members of the University community. The Record reserves the right to reject any letters.
Submissions for Letters should include:
Submissions may be sent by mail, fax, or e-mail to the Record office. A signed, paper copy of e-mail submissions must be forwarded to the Record office prior to publication.
The University Record Letters Policy:
The University Record welcomes letters from members of the University community. Those on topics of broad University interest will be given preference for publication. Letters should be no more than 500 words in length and must be signed. The editorial staff reserves the right to reject any letter and to edit and/or condense letters for publication. The editorial staff also may limit the number of weeks letters may be published on an issue and the number of times any one person's viewpoint on a single issue will be published. Letters may appear in small type. Organizations submitting material must include the name and address of an appropriate officer. Letters must be received by noon the Wednesday preceding publication to receive consideration for publication in the next issue.
