More wellness assessment sessions available

Due to overwhelming participation from university faculty and staff, and to meet the need for additional capacity, MHealthy has added 2,000 more wellness assessment appointments, available through April 24. Once these appointments are filled, there will not be another opportunity to participate this year.

Benefits-eligible faculty or staff members hired before March 1 who would like to get a free MHealthy Wellness Assessment should go to www.MHealthy.umich.edu to learn more and sign up.

Nearly 17,000 faculty and staff already have received or are registered for a free MHealthy Wellness Assessment, which provides participants with numbers for cholesterol, blood pressure and glucose, opportunities to talk with a health professional to identify health risk factors, and qualifies them for a $100 pre-tax cash incentive. It only takes 30 minutes to complete and results are completely confidential.

Additional locations and extended hours at several sites throughout campus and the U-M Health System have been set aside for the assessments.  Appointment dates and times are available:

• Today, Pierpont Commons, 8 a.m.- 4:30 p.m.

• Thursday, Cardiovascular Center, 1:30-6 p.m.

• April 14, University Hospital Towsley Lobby, 6 a.m.-7 p.m.
