Roundup of other Board of Regents items

The following items were approved by the Board of Regents at its meeting Thursday.

Final approval for Intercollegiate Soccer Stadium

The regents authorized issuing the Intercollegiate Soccer Stadium project for bids and awarding construction contracts provided the bids are within budget. The project will provide seating and amenities for 1,800 spectators of men’s and women’s intercollegiate soccer games. Department of Athletics resources and gifts will fund the $6 million project that is scheduled to be completed in the fall of 2010.

Infusion suite planned for East Ann Arbor Health and Geriatrics Center

To accommodate growth in non-cancer adult infusion services, the U-M Hospitals and Health Centers (UMHHC) plans to renovate 5,000 gross square feet at the East Ann Arbor Health and Geriatrics Center to create an infusion suite with 10 infusion bays, along with associated support spaces. The $1.5 million project, funded from UMHHC resources, is scheduled to be completed next spring.

Emergency power to be upgraded at University Hospital

UMHHC will fund a $4 million project that will provide a comprehensive upgrade to the emergency power system infrastructure at the University Hospital, including interconnection with the emergency power system at the Cardiovascular Center. The project is scheduled for completion in the fall of 2010.
