New online job system at U-M planned for June

A new online job posting and hiring system will debut in June. The system includes a fresh Web site design for umjobs.org, where applicants will continue to search and apply for jobs at all U-M campuses.

The new software better integrates with U-M’s current system, offers more options for customization and features an interface that will be more familiar to current users of MPathways and PeopleSoft.

For job applicants, the new site is more accessible and postings are easier to search. There are also more options for receiving and sharing job alerts, including notifications via e-mail, RSS feeds and social media services like Twitter.

During the past year, representatives from many units have provided input into the new design. Colleagues from all campuses are taking part in a unit readiness program, collaborating with eRecruit consultants to help ensure a successful transition.
