U-M, Grand Valley sign pharmacy college admissions agreement
The presidents of U-M and Grand Valley State University on Thursday signed an agreement establishing the Pharmacy Preferred Admission Program, a program that will reserve up to eight positions annually in U-M’s four-year PharmD doctoral program for promising Grand Valley freshmen.
• Also Thursday, the Board of Regents approved construction projects at the Institute for Social Research and the medical campus.
University sets employee parking permit rates for next three years
Annual rates for all employee parking permits will increase 3 percent each year beginning in FY 2011. The increases will aid in the development of new parking spaces on Central Campus and elsewhere as well as initiatives to provide alternative transportation options.

The Big Ten Network will offer live television coverage of President Barack Obama’s commencement address at U-M on May 1. Live coverage of the event from Michigan Stadium will begin at 10:30 a.m.

Frank Stafford, professor of economics and a research professor at the Institute for Social Research’s Survey Research Center, made a presentation in Washington, D.C., this week at an exhibition that sought to show Congress how investments in the National Science Foundation funding pay off for society.
