U-M, MFA program and Ann Arbor score high in three recent rankings

The university, its Master of Fine Arts in Creative Writing Program, and U-M's prominent role in the Ann Arbor community have been ranked highly in three separate, recent listings.

U-M is listed as the top public university in the QS World University Rankings for 2010, and ranked 15th among all colleges on the list. The QS rankings look at four broad criteria: research quality, teaching quality, graduate employability and internationalization

The MFA in Creative Writing Program was ranked second among Poets & Writers magazine’s 2011 Top Fifty MFA programs in the United States.

Ann Arbor came in at No. 2 on the list of the 20 best small cities in the American Institute for Economic Research’s College Destinations Index, which takes a broad look at the top 75 cities and towns for students.
