Change in on-campus polling locations for elections

Election Day is Tuesday and there have been changes in campus polling locations.

On campus, university residence halls no longer serve as polling locations:

• Ward 1 – Precinct 7 voters should go to Pierpont Commons  (not Bursley Hall).

• Ward 2 – Precinct 2 voters should go to Palmer Commons  (not Markley Hall).

• Ward 3 – Precincts 1 & 2 voters should go to the Michigan League  (not East Quad).

• Ward 4 – Precinct 1 voters should go to the Michigan Union  (not South Quad).

Northwood Community Center will continue as the polling location for Ward 2 – Precinct 1.  Also, Ward 1 – Precincts 1 & 2 polling remains in the Michigan Union; and Ward 4 – Precinct 3 polling remains at the Coliseum, located at the corner of Fifth Avenue and Hill Street.

Individuals can verify registration, absentee ballot options, and authorized polling place on the Michigan Secretary of State website webapps.sos.state.mi.us/mivote or on Publius at www.publius.org.

Michigan voters are required to present valid photo identification at the polls on Election Day in order to vote. Students should take their Mcard with them to the polling location.
