BREAKING NEWS: Rodriguez dismissed as U-M football coach
Athletic Director Dave Brandon announced today that head coach Rich Rodriguez has been relieved of his coaching duties with the football program.

U-M and AATA renew MRide for faculty, staff and students
U-M and the Ann Arbor Transportation Authority have agreed to a five-year extension for the MRide program, which will allow the university community to continue riding on all AATA fixed-route buses at no cost.

UMHS opens student health center at Ypsilanti High School
This week the U-M Health System opened its fifth school-based health center operated through its Regional Alliance for Healthy Schools. The center's health care services and related programs will be in session at Ypsilanti High School, 2095 Packard Road. A state study shows such school-based centers increase students' health satisfaction, raise self-esteem and improve eating habits.

New career resources and market titles for Business Intelligence professionals
New online resources and improved role classification are now available to help advance Business Intelligence careers at U-M. The new resources are intended to build expertise in the structuring, analyzing, and leveraging of data for decision-making.

Reversing fortunes
U-M students who have come from the foster care system face a unique set of challenges, both in terms of funding their education as well as lacking the family and community support that most undergraduates enjoy. U-M alumnus Paul Blavin and his wife, Amy, want to help provide that guidance and sense of community through the Blavin Scholars Program. They have pledged to match $500,000 in contributions to fund the program.
