Have a question? 'Ask M'
U-M has some of the world’s leading researchers, scientists and experts in a wide range of topics, from natural disasters to politics and the economy. The Office of the Vice President for Communications is bringing them directly to its Facebook audience through an interactive session called 'Ask M.'
Here’s how it works: Fans of the Facebook page can watch the video featuring a member of the faculty or staff, and then post questions for the expert in the comments section. The expert will choose a few and answer them in another video in about a week.
For the first feature, Andrew Maynard, director of the U-M Risk Science Center, will answer questions about the Gulf oil spill last year. In the video, he asks people about their concerns for the environment and their health.
See the video and ask him a question by going to; www.facebook.com/#!/universityofmichigan/posts/186425134741596.
A few notes about the feature:
• The expert opinions do not necessarily represent the viewpoints of the university.
• The university reserves the right to choose which questions the expert will answer.
• Not all questions will be answered but the expert will attempt to respond to as many as possible.
• Questions or comments that violate the Facebook comments policy may be removed. See the policy at the bottom of this page:
