Central Campus experiences power outages; repairs needed at South Quad

A brief power outage affected several buildings on Central Campus this morning.

Diane Brown, public information officer for the Department of Public Safety, said an electrical situation caused many Central Campus buildings to experience a power bump around 10:06 a.m. Several buildings on Central Campus lost power.

Although power was restored to most buildings by 11 a.m., a substation in South Quad Hall required repairs, Brown said. Power was restored at South Quad about 1 p.m..

South Quad remained open and regular activities, including meal service, continued as planned.
