University receives Silver rating in sustainability tracking system
U-M scored a Silver rating in its first year participating in the Sustainability Tracking, Assessment & Rating System. The university is among 92 schools internationally to receive the distinction. Its top score was in education and research. It received high marks for programs with sustainability learning outcomes. The rating is based on data from the Ann Arbor campus, including the U-M Health System.
Phi Kappa Phi inducts seven faculty and staff members
The U-M Chapter of Phi Kappa Phi, the nation's oldest, largest, and most selective all-discipline honor society, has inducted seven faculty and professional staff as new members. The chapter also inducted 250 new junior, senior, and graduate/professional student members at its April 1 ceremony.
U-M police issue warning to secure belongings
Thefts of unattended belongings on the U-M campus significantly have increased in the first three months of 2012 compared with 2011. U-M police are reminding students, faculty and staff to secure their valuables at all times.

Alumnus Justin Golden learned the true Michigan difference after his graduation from the Stephen M. Ross School of Business. In an attempt to broaden his business outreach, Golden contacted U-M’s extensive alumni network and journeyed to eight countries over eight months to meet with roughly 50 U-M graduates around the world to explore entrepreneurial and investment opportunities.
