U-M receives funds to help develop the future of nuclear energy
A $1.3 million award from the U.S. Department of Energy will help U-M examine one of the major challenges facing nuclear reactors today, and help train the next generation of nuclear engineers.
Tony England joins CECS at UM-Dearborn as interim dean
UM-Dearborn recently announced a transition in leadership of its College of Engineering and Computer Science with Tony England joining the college as interim dean. England's two-year appointment began May 1 and was approved by the Board of Regents on April 19.
Deadline for Neubacher Award nominations is June 1
Nominations are being accepted until June 1 for the James T. Neubacher Award recognizing a faculty or staff member, student, alumna or alumnus who has made significant contributions to improve awareness, access, acceptance and full participation in society for persons with disabilities.

One degree, many paths
Diversity of career paths leads many students to the College of Pharmacy. Since graduating in 1976 Mary Moy-Sandusky has worked in hospitals, retail, consulting and government services. In 2011, Gov. Rick Snyder appointed her to the Michigan Board of Pharmacy. She also runs a pharmacy consulting business and speaks to future U-M pharmacy grads about their career options.
