CTools upgrade will interrupt service June 30–July 1

Information and Technology Services will replace the behind-the-scenes CTools technical infrastructure this summer. This important infrastructure enhancement is needed to meet the increasing demand on campus for a high-performing and reliable teaching and learning environment.

To complete the work and extensive testing, a service interruption is scheduled for June 30 through July 1. During this time CTools, UM.Lessons, and the U-M Infrastructure for Academic Computing environment will be unavailable. These dates were selected based on historical CTools usage data and published 2012 academic calendars to avoid disruption to the majority of the university's academic cycles.

Plan ahead for the service interruption by saving necessary documents elsewhere or by completing work early. Please share this information with students, faculty, and staff. Online announcements and updates on CTools, Wolverine Access, and other channels have begun and will continue until the upgrade is complete. For answers to questions, please contact the ITS Service Center.
