Active U Autumn registration closes today; signup deadline is 5 p.m.
Time is running out to sign up for this year's Active U Autumn program. Registration for MHealthy's six-week fall physical activity challenge closes today at 5 p.m. All university faculty, staff students, retirees and employee spouses/Other Qualified Adults can participate.
Last year, more than 9,000 participants logged over 8 million activity minutes in just six weeks.
"Active U Autumn gets the entire university community active and moving more," says Carolyn Warheit, MHealthy physical activity program manager. "You can join a team with your coworkers or classmates, form a twosome, or participate as an individual. Whatever works best for you to keep you motivated and active for the next six weeks and beyond."
Once registered, participants can start logging their activity immediately. The program goal is to be active at least 30 minutes a day, at least three days a week for at least four of the six program weeks.
Active U Autumn features:
• Participate as an individual, as a twosome or as a team.
• Track physical activity minutes online or using a mobile device.
• Get healthy eating tips, recipes, and other resources.
• Receive weekly reminder/motivational emails and text messages.
• Get a chance to win prizes just by logging activity.
Additionally, benefits-eligible faculty and staff who participate in Active U Autumn will get an automatic entry into MHealthy's November Grand Prize Drawing for a chance to win one of six prizes valued up to $500.
