Festifall, an annual showcase of student activities and campus support services, takes place from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. today on the Central Campus Diag. Its North Campus counterpart, Go North Fest!, will be from 1 to 5 p.m. Thursday at the North Campus Diag. In this video, follow as the Michigan Squirrel leads viewers on a tour of what to expect.

U-M remains strong in U.S. News & World Report rankings
The university continues to rank near the top in the U.S. News & World Report’s annual rankings of the nation’s best undergraduate colleges and universities. The 2014 rankings were released online today. U-M maintained its spot as the No. 4 public university, and was ranked at No. 28 among the nation’s best national universities.

EarthFest 2013, U-M's annual party for the planet, set for Sept. 19
The campus community will continue its annual tradition of partying for the planet at EarthFest, Sept. 19 on the Diag. This year's event will include free food, games, giveaways and live entertainment by popular Ann Arbor singer-songwriter Theo Katzman.

Active U Autumn registration opens today
Registration for Active U Autumn, MHealthy's six-week physical activity challenge, opens today. This is the third year for the fall program, and Active U Autumn is offering a new physical activity option, Blue Track, for those who may be just starting to exercise or haven't been active in a while.

For many U-M medical students, being chosen for the Summer Biomedical Research Programs means 10 weeks of analyzing data or suggesting new models for clinical care. But Clay Bavinger wanted to build something he could hold in his hands. His project, which came to also involve Fred Howard and Matt Christensen, was a wearable device that could revolutionize one of the most common procedures in medicine: listening to patient lung sounds.
