Professor I. Douglas Moon has been appointed interim dean of the U-M-Flint School of Management.
"I have to learn a number of things, especially dealing with reaffirmation of the Association to Advance Collegiate Schools of Business (AACSB) accreditation. We are in the middle of the process, and it has to be completed by October," Moon says. "It's the biggest project we have to do."
Moon received his doctorate in 1976 in industrial engineering and operations research from Virginia Polytechnic Institute and State University. He has been teaching at U-M-Flint since 1989. He has published numerous technical articles in the areas of facility location theory and has made more than 60 presentations in national and international conferences on management science and operations research.
The
Board of Regents recently approved the appointment of Keith Moreland
as associate dean of the School of Management at U-M-Flint. He is associate
professor of accounting. His responsibilities as associate dean will
include overseeing the delivery of the Bachelor of Business Administration
and Masters of Business Administration programs.
