U-M prescription drug plan saves money,
slows premium increases

Despite Department of Health and Human Services projections that prescription drug costs would increase by 13.4 percent in 2003, the rate of increase at U-M was only 2.8 percent, due to the U-M’s new prescription drug program. More>


Meader's gifts total $18 million

Mary and Edwin Meader of Kalamazoo are giving $8 million to the Kelsey Museum of Archaeology for a new exhibit wing and $10 million to support the new Depression Center. Pending approval by the Board of Regents, the Depression Center will be named in honor of Rachel Upjohn, Mrs. Meader's maiden name and the name of her grandmother.
