Ecinechia in the Gateway Gardens herb garden will be among thousands of plants on display July 28 during the Free Centennial Fair in celebration of the 100th anniversary of Matthaei Botanical Gardens and Nichols Arboretum. Children's activities, a look at historic gardening practices, and tours of the facility's diverse display gardens and trails will be available. Tables on the patio outside the Auditorium will be available to enjoy light food and refreshments from vendors in an adjacent food court, or listen to musical groups performing under the Gateway Gardens Friends pavillion. Bottled water will be provided courtesy of Ann Arbor Commerce Bank. Sponsored by the Matthaei Botanical Gardens, (734) 647-7600. (Photo by Mark O'brien)
