MAIS service interruption

During the weekend of Nov.10-13, Michigan Administrative Information Services (MAIS) production servers will move to a new data center. This move will provide a secure, modern environment for protecting University administrative data and enable MAIS to return to normal business more quickly in the event of a disaster. MAIS production systems on Wolverine Access and Citrix will be unavailable from 5 p.m., Nov. 10 to 7 a.m. Nov. 13. For details about what systems and services will be impacted, go to and select Service Interruption Nov. 10-13.

Classics-related courses sought for site

Information is being solicited for a Web site and poster on undergraduate or graduate courses to be taught in the Winter 2007 term that might be related to the Contexts for Classics (CFC) initiative.

CFC aims to explore definitions of Classicism; the relationship between antiquity and modernity; and constructions of the Classical ideal. Anyone teaching a winter class that entails an interdisciplinary perspective on classical studies is asked to submit their name, course number, course title and a brief course description (no more than a paragraph).

Poster information must be sent by Nov. 9; responses will be posted online as information is received. Previous course listings and posters can be found at

For more information contact Cassandra Borges, CFC graduate student coordinator, via e-mail at
