Assistance available for SPH online certificate

People in Michigan who qualify for funding through the No Worker Left Behind program now can get most of their tuition covered for the Certificate in the Foundations of Public Health (CFPH) online program offered by the School of Public Health (UM SPH). Students in the CFPH program learn the fundamentals of public health from SPH faculty without ever traveling to campus. They earn a certificate that recognizes the completion of core coursework in the vital and growing field of public health. Displaced workers who qualify under the new Michigan state funding program will receive $5,000 per year for a maximum of $10,000 over two years. The CFPH online program has also been approved for listing on the State of Michigan Career Education Consumer Report Web site. For additional information go to www.sph.umich.edu/distance.
