The Secretary of State Mobile Branch Office will be on campus next month to conduct voter registration. The mobile unit that provides all services available at the Secretary of State branch offices will be near the Michigan League, 9 a.m.-3 p.m. Oct. 2. Those who wish to vote in the Nov. 4 election must be registered by Oct. 6.

Absentee voter ballot requests must be submitted in writing to the city or township clerk where the individual is registered to vote by 2 p.m. Nov. 1, in order to vote in the November election.

Additional information will be available at the Mobile Branch Office, or can be found at www.michigan.gov/sos/0,1607,7-127-1633_8716-21037--,00.html.

The Secretary of State Mobile Branch Office travels around the state on a 24-foot, wheelchair-accessible trailer. The stop at U-M is one of 16 on the mobile unit's 2008 College Tour, during which it will visit all of Michigan's public universities, as well as Oakland Community College.
