Four members of the women's swimming and diving team were named Scholar All-Americans for the 2008-09 season by the College Swimming Coaches Association of America, and seven additional Wolverines received honorable mention.

Task forces to focus on ways to reduce costs, enhance revenue
To continue the momentum of U-M's cost containment efforts, five task forces of faculty and staff will explore areas where the university can further reduce costs or enhance revenue. The topics to be explored by the task forces emerged from the deliberations of the Prudence Panel, convened last fall by the Provost's Office.

Plant biologist to lead Environmental Interpretive Center
In his new role as director of UM-Dearborn’s Environmental Interpretive Center, David Susko hopes to further the center’s environmental stewardship, conservation efforts, educational outreach and urban ecology research initiatives. Susko is a plant biologist and associate professor of biology at UM-Dearborn.

One-third of parents gives schools an ‘A’ for offering healthy foods
Nationwide, only 33 percent of parents give their kids’ schools an "A" grade for offering healthy food choices. Meanwhile, 12 percent give their children's schools a "D" or an "F." That’s according to a C.S. Mott Children’s Hospital National Poll on Children’s Health.
