A booklet with information about Open Enrollment and a medical insurance coverage comparison chart will be mailed to employees’ homes later this month. The enrollment period will be Oc. 26-Nov. 6. Meanwhile, this video offers a look at what’s new in 2010.

Coleman set to deliver State of the University address Oct. 5
President Mary Sue Coleman will deliver the annual State of the University address at 3:30 p.m. Oct. 5, in Blau Auditorium at the Stephen M. Ross School of Business. The university community is invited to attend.

Regents offer praise for president in annual performance review
During her annual performance review by the Board of Regents, President Mary Sue Coleman was praised for her leadership on the Michigan Difference fundraising campaign and the purchase of the for Pfizer property. Regents also commended Coleman’s guidance of the university during a severe economic downturn.

Guidelines for using 'cloud computing' services
"Cloud computing,” in which users access services and applications across the Internet rather than from their personal computers or university servers, is a growing trend. While there are advantages to using such services, the university has issued guidelines for those who use them for university work. Making financial aid easier
With college education becoming harder to afford, the Obama administration wants to make it easier for families to seek federal financial aid. Research conducted by Susan Dynarski, an associate professor of public policy and of education, has played a key role in the administration’s ideas for simplifying the process.
