Universitywide test of emergency alert system
set for Friday

The university expects to conduct its semester test of the UM Emergency Alert system around midday Friday at its Ann Arbor, Flint and Dearborn campuses.

Text and/or voice messages will be sent to telephones, cell phones and text-reception devices registered to receive the emergency messages. Additionally, the test message automatically will be sent to all faculty, staff and student e-mail addresses.

This test may be canceled without notice.
