MHealthy Alcohol Management Program now free for faculty and staff

MHealthy’s one-on-one Alcohol Management Program is designed to help people with mild to moderate alcohol problems enjoy life more and drink less or not at all. It is free for U-M employees and counts as one activity for MHealthy Rewards.

This brief, confidential, health-education program helps people change their drinking habits so they will:

• Have more energy.
• Sleep better.
• Decrease stress and anxiety.
• Feel a sense of relief and self control.

Available in-person or by phone, the program includes an initial interview followed by three to five private sessions and three- and nine-month follow-ups. It’s your choice whether to cut back or quit drinking all together.

This program is not for people who are severely dependent or alcoholic and require alcohol treatment services rather than health education.

The Alcohol Management Program also is open to the general public. For more information, call 734-998-2017 or visit
