Faculty and staff should enter via Thompson Street, following the old circulation pattern until the Division Street entrance/exit is complete. There will be one-way circulation in the addition, with entry into the addition at the top of the ramp on each level. The old and new portions of the structure are connected on each level.

As users learn the new traffic flow, Parking & Transportation Services urges all faculty and staff to drive cautiously within the structure. Caution will be especially important when crossing back to the older portion of the structure and merging with those vehicles.

The Division Street entrance/exit is scheduled to open in mid-September, weather permitting. Then users will be able to enter and exit on either Division or Thompson streets.

A new internal pedestrian walkway to Thompson Street is marked within the structure and is located at the south end of the drive lanes.  The southwest stair tower exit to the Thompson Street surface lot (W18) is temporarily closed for site work.  Users needing to exit the structure to the south are asked to use the newly created pedestrian walkway to Thompson Street.

The project also will provide new covered motorcycle parking, which will be available Tuesday. It is located in the older portion of the structure on the north end, adjacent to the elevator lobby.

A new indoor bicycle parking facility will be available later this fall.

The gold permit and the accessible/handicap parking spaces will remain in their current locations on the first two levels of the existing parking structure.

The two lower levels of the new addition will not open until the adjacent office building is complete later this fall.

The parking structure is equipped with a reversing entrance/exit lane program. Two entry lanes and one exit lane will be operational 6 a.m.-noon; one entry lane and two exit lanes will be operational noon-6 a.m.
