Incumbents likely re-elected to new terms on
Board of Regents

Although two major counties have yet to report vote totals, incumbents Andrea Fischer Newman and Andrew Richner appear to have been re-elected Tuesday to eight-year terms on the Board of Regents.

According to figures posted on the Secretary of State's website, Fischer Newman had 1,095,991 votes and Richner had 1,038,439. Totals were unavailable for Wayne and Oakland counties.

Both are Republicans and U-M alumni. Fischer Newman is finishing her second term and Richner is finishing his first term.

Other candidates and their vote tallies as of 6 a.m. today:
